One of the most recognizable faces in women’s lacrosse, North Carolina attacker Jamie Ortega announced she has signed a NIL deal with Epoch lacrosse.

Not only has Ortega become the first college athlete to sign with Epoch lacrosse, but she also is making history by becoming Epoch’s first EVER female athlete.

This comes as no surprise when you look at all that Ortega has accomplished in her college career in North Carolina.

She is a four-time All-American, her 265 Goals are tied for 8th all-time in NCAA history with former Louisville Cardinal Bergan Foley. Ortega also holds the North Carolina all-time goal scoring record with those 265 Goals, she also currently sits 4th in program history with 88 career assists, and her 353 points are good for 2nd all-time trailing her former college teammate Katie Hoeg and needs just 18 points to pass her and become North Carolina’s all-time points leader.

The list goes on and on for all the fantastic things she’s done on the field over the past four years at North Carolina.

Ortega’s partnership with Epoch will be used in a variety of ways. Having her at various events from showcases to clinics and so much more. Her first appearance for Epoch will be at the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association President’s Cup on November 17th and goes through the 21st.

Ortega’s deal with Epoch will also include her own personal line of performance apparel which will include items for athletic wear and also for everyday wear.

Ortega told LSN how excited she was about joining the epoch team. A team that features current pro athletes in Premier Lacrosse League Players Whipsnakes Matt Rambo, and Chaos Defender Jarrod Neuman are just a couple of the notable athletes on their roster.

Ortega mentioned that “They (Epoch) want to grow together with me as a company and inspire the next generation of girls.”
