On Wednesday, the Hofstra Men's Lacrosse program announced its 15-game schedule for the 2022 season. The Pride is coming off a winning 2021 season (8-6) but came up short in CAA Championship Game against Drexel (L, 11-15). Hofstra is led by head coach Seth Tierney, who enters his 16th season with the school.
After facing Quinnipiac in a scrimmage on January 28, Hofstra will open their season at home against Merrimack. This will be the first time both programs have faced each other (Merrimack moved up to Division 1 in 2020).
The Pride will continue playing at home for four straight games following their opener. On February 25 and 27, they will compete in the first-ever four-team tournament that consists of Long Island schools (LIU, Stony Brook, and St. John's)
The following week (March), Hofstra will face Villanova in their very first road game of the season.
On April 2, conference play (CAA) begins when they take on Fairfield on the road. Hofstra's final regular-season game will be at Towson on April 30.
